I am the Hydra. The multi-headed creature from Linz, who fights day and night for the free scene and is always looking for unused spaces, unique room concepts and new possibilities. I act out of an inner necessity for culturally diverse events, always focusing on the spatial Plus X and driven by the approval of my audience.The Holy Hydra is an interdisciplinary event in the parish church Urfahr – Jugendkirche Grüner Anker, which is taking place for the third time this year and includes contemporary dance performances, electronic music and new media art. This year my event focuses on local artists and the local art scene. The content examines an extended use and a possible redefinition of sacred spaces. My aim is to create a discourse between club culture, religion and society.

Biography
I am the Hydra. I was founded in 2016 as the event collective “die geile Hydra” and I am now a Cultural club. At my core, I consist of six people (Amanda Augustin, Lorena Höllrigl, Anna Friedinger, Björn Büchner, Bernd Himsl and Klaus Reznicek), who came together through their creative work and have been known for their extraordinary events since.
