The climate emergency in Vorarlberg, declared in 2019, not only addresses politics, but also the art and cultural scene have to make a contribution against global warming. The exhibition “Global Shift – Die Welt im Wandel (engl.: Global Shift – The World in Transition)” includes various interactive and participatory stations. These stations observe, document and comment on the traces left using our natural resources. The current relationship between nature and civilization is also examined. Natural resources such as water or fossil resources are also the subject of artistic contemplation. The aim of the exhibition is to create an individual awareness of the subject. The different formats and stations encourage active participation and achieve a long-term effect. The interplay of interaction, dialogue and reflection leads to the development of creativity and subjective expressiveness. The exhibition is accompanied by a program of lectures, workshops and excursions that offer the opportunity to deal with the topics of climate change and climate protection in greater depth and provide suggestions for your own climate-friendly actions. The contributions will take up local aspects as well as global connections.

Visiting the Deep Space presentations is only possible with a pre-booked ticket. Tickets are available at the Ars Electronica Center’s infodesk and can only be booked for the respective time slot of the museum visit ticket.
