The winner of the Serbian national art+science AI Lab selection for 2020, Kristina Tica, talks about her project Digital Prayer. The project is using a computer vision method for image generation to create a visual output that represents Orthodox icons.
The artist will talk about her work and the transdisciplinary team and collaborations that enabled the project Digital Prayer. The project is using a computer vision method for image generation to create a visual output that resembles an Orthodox Icon. Algorithmic processes are directed to imitate the language of the icon and two visual interfaces oppose each other – the virtual world of the digital image, and the traditional handcrafted Orthodox icon.
