How Robots are Changing the World
The Manchine is a book about the linking and, ultimately, fusion of man and machine. Renowned experts from different disciplines cover topics like digitalization, interconnectedness, robotics, artificial intelligence, the industrial revolution and Industry 4.0. We are on the verge of a new era. Technical possibilities are opening up new horizons at a breathtaking pace that is both exciting and uncanny. The essays in *The Manchine* examine these innovations and imagine possible scenarios for the future.
The book is interactive. A pop-up has been designed for each article, which can be opened or moved by pulling, pushing or rotating it. The essays in The Manchine come alive in an experimental short film. One text is read out, while Kommhaus supernumeraries present the pop-ups of the book and re-enact them.
