(Linz, June 4, 2020) Get to know genetically modified plants that bind a lot of CO2, learn inspiring facts about initiatives to help shape society and listen to a live concert by Dennis Russell Davies and Maki Namekawa. In its sixth week, Ars Electronica’s Home Delivery will once again be delivering a diverse mix of art, technology and society to your door-directly to your living room, kitchen, children’s room, balcony or terrace. Questions from viewers via YouTube commentary will be gladly answered, and anyone who’d like to join in the conversation is welcome to join in via Skype.

Guided tour: Power to the People

Many citizens are often powerless in the face of the demands of the big players in business and politics. The tour Power to the People shows by means of a series of examples, how supposedly weaker people can also intervene in a trend-setting way in the affairs. In light of current events, this tour places a special focus on civil rights movements and initiatives to help shape society.
Science Talk: Biohacking

From genetic tests from the garage to homemade gene therapies and plants that can bind a lot of CO2. In the Ars Electronica Center’s BioLab, biotechnologist Andreas Stürmer will provide insights into the world of biohacking and explain how biohacking differs from academic science and where collaboration takes place.
Concert LIVE: Dennis Russell Davies and Maki Namekawa
FRI June 12, 2020 / 7 p.m.
Classical piano music in a class of its own awaits the audience during a live concert on Friday evening. Dennis Russell Davies and Maki Namekawa play Mozart’s Magic Flute, Finale Act 2, arranged for piano four hands by Alexander Zemlinsky. Cori O’Lan again contributes the visualizations that interact with the music. After the concert, there will be the opportunity to ask questions via YouTube commentary or Skype, or simply chat with the artists.
