The Abuja ARS Garden is an evening of literary renditions and talks, participants are welcome to join us via zoom or YouTube and are welcome to drop their comments or participate live in the talk session where we’ll be discussing Women in Media Arts.
The Abuja ARS Garden 2021 is an evening of literary performances dedicated to Women in the Arts in Nigeria, particularly in the City of Abuja located in central Nigeria.
It will be an evening of spoken word performances, storytelling and talks, situated within the context of Art and the Society, as we present five young women and 1 man (a He for She).
Following the performances, a brief interactive session will follow to examine how these creatives have fared in their various endeavors since the disruption occasioned by the pandemic, and of course, to know how well they have taken advantage of the digital platform.

IYANU ADEBIYI: Iyanu Adebiyi is a Nigerian-born writer and performance poet; an artist interrogating and exploring social issues as they affect the wellbeing of individuals and the society at large, with an aim to inspire, foster and advocate for positive and sustainable change. Her debut spoken word album, Wonder, was released across digital platforms in 2020.

OLUWASEUN ODUKOYA: Oluwaseun Odukoya is an accomplished art administrator, actor, dancer, singer, director and storyteller. Aunty Shine the Storyteller, popularly known, uses her art to promote the rights of the girlchild and challenge all forms of harmful practices melted out on them. She has featured across many productions via the radio, television and stage.

AMINA OYINOYI AHURAKA: Amina Oyinoyi Ahuraka with the pen name Sun Of_Ahuraka is a Nigerian teenage writer, spoken word artist and poet with a deep love for creative expressions. She is also interested in photography and art. Her works explore society, human struggles and power dynamics.

LOVETH LIBERTY: Loveth Liberty is an Abuja (Nigeria) born spoken word poet and singer. The multiple poetry slam champion and winner of the 2nd edition of Kubwa Got Talent in 2019, debuted as a recording artist in 2020, with her famous spoken word single: LOCAH GEH. Loveth Liberty is your Favorite Performance Poet, upholding the belief that her Art is both therapy and pills for the ills of society and the mirror of humanity.

ADETOLA JERRY-ADESEWO: Adetola Jerry-Adesewo, popularly known for the purposes of her engagement in the art circles as EYIMOFE is a teenage writer, poet and singer dedicated to the promotion of African heritage and wellbeing of young Nigerians, especially girls.

OSAZUWA EHIBOR: Osazuwa Ehibor is an actor and storyteller. He is one of Abuja’s most sought-after stage managers.
