This program will explore the power of animation and 360 video in representation of the past as tools in educating the new generations and giving a wider perspective on different narratives to wider audiences.
This garden will deal with the modes of animation in public spaces, instigated by inhabitants, citizens, artists, urban planners, and designers. It will focus on public space, treated as an open, concrete space, with its physical and architectural materialities, ordinary or remarkable, and its social practices and patterns. The programs specifically will explore the power of animation and 360 video in representation of the past as tools in educating the new generations and giving a wider perspective on different narratives to wider audiences.
Flaka Kokolli (XK): Flaka Kokolli is an animator from Kosovo. She was born on the 7th of October 1998, in Prishtine, where she grew up and finished her education up until University. After having been a workshop participant and volunteer in the Anibar Animation Festival for a couple of years, at the age of 16 she started tutoring stop-motion workshops, later on coordinating them, as well as becoming a selection panel member for Anibar’s festival program.
Urtina Hoxha (XK): Urtina Hoxha is an illustrator and designer based in Prishtina. She was born in 1995, in a small town in Kosovo, called Suhareka. She has graduated from Graphic Design in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina, where she continues her master’s studies. Her working experience as a designer and illustrator dates since her first year of studies, starting in a Motion and Design studio called “Kokrra”, to continue in “Permanent” studio as designer and illustrator as well. During her studies, she was twice granted the award “Musli Mulliqi” for the best student of the year in her department.
