“Realitätsverlust” is an expressive creative work that addresses a variety of socially relevant issues and leaves room for the artist’s own associations. The pencil drawings deal with the relationship between man and technology, with surveillance, pressure to perform, the feeling of alienation and loss of freedom. As a result of war, pandemic and decreasing confidence of people, the artist observes a general overstrain, the continuously increasing amount of problems to cope with and ultimately: loss of reality. Inspired by the events of the past months, he has created a series of creative works.
Loss of reality is his main work. The detailed pencil drawing depicts a distressed youth amidst the hopeless circumstances surrounding him.
Loss of Reality was awarded a Young Professionals Honorary Mention in the u19-create your world category at the Prix Ars Electronica 2021.
