Lisa is very interested in upcycling and strongly believes that it is becoming more and more important for our future. That’s why the idea came up that we humans could also live in upcycling buildings. The parts of the city are mostly made of upcycled material: a plastic bottle house that you can live in; an Innocent bottle that became a pool; an Amazon cardboard box that she turned into a supermarket. A park has been created on the roof because green space is important, especially in a city. And there are upcycling elements here, too: a bench made from bottle caps and a swing made from a plastic bottle cap that hangs from a tree. Many other buildings could be created in this way.
Of course, we can’t really live in a “Vöslauer” bottle and go shopping in an Amazon box, but buildings could and should be made from upcycled materials in the future. The project is meant to be a vision and inspiration of how our living space can be designed in the future. This way, people produce less waste, which helps the environment and ultimately all living things.
