Reset the Forest: Interactive Reforestation Device is a project developed from an ecomedia perspective. Its main objective is to promote awareness of forest fires through a device equipped with an interactive graphic interface.
The installation shows the aerial view of a burned space, which is displayed on a horizontal screen covered with a transparent fertile substrate. The user selects a point of the image at will and the device then proceeds to sow a real seed in it.
Biography:
Clara Molinicos (ES) (b. 1989) is a visual and multimedia artist, plastic artist and musician. A graduate in Fine Arts, she finished her studies in Mexico where she lived for four years and experimented through psychoanalysis and art therapy. She graduated last year from the Master’s Degree in Visual Arts and Multimedia at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). The line of research she is currently addressing ranges from the local to the global from an ecomedia point of view and human-computer interaction.
