Ophélie Demurger (FR), Valentin Godard (FR)

POSTCITY, First Floor, CAMPUS EXHIBITION @POSTCITY, located next to Open Futurelab OG1

A microphone recorder has slipped in between whispers and the ear canal. Those who operated from afar are now before your eyes: the humanoids of BoTaG are there for you. Enigmatic and secret creatures, they then return behind their screens, for a filmed ASMR session that is broadcasted continuously throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Biographies:

Born in 1994, Ophélie Demurger graduated from ENSBA Lyon in 2018. Through performances, installations and videos, she works on issues of incarnation and our relations to one another. Playing on her status as an artist, sometimes a fan, sometimes a star, she investigates the fascination between celebrities and their audience. She recently presented her work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon or Do Disturb! at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

Born in 93, and then another time in 2003, Valentin Godard went through theatre classes, Ivalice and Rivebois before the ENSBA Lyon. His pointed ears were, for a time, enough to fight against bad guys until, with his green bird head, he went traveling around the world (even though everything was over). Artist for the ENSBA Lyon digital UR, and Trinity Bellucci where he’s a member of the collective Les enfants de Diane, Valentin’s body is at the moment the home of foreign tongues and smells like a wet dog when it’s in the shower.
