The State of the ART(ist) Initiative is established in collaboration with the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support artists in Ukraine and around the world, for whom a commitment to peace, freedom and self-determination is not possible locally or is possible only under great threat. Hosted by Christl Baur (DE/AT) and Martin Honzik (AT), the conversations address different segments of the Initiative.

Dear Karin - In Memoriam Karin Ohlenschläger

Karin Ohlenschläger was artistic director of LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial in Gijón, Spain, art historian, researcher and curator who has been specializing in media art, science and contemporary culture since 1985. Karin passed away suddenly in August 2022, a few days before the Ars Electronica Festival. We dedicate this conversation to our long-time friend.
