Climate Countdown

Wed 13. Nov 2024 18:00 – 23:55
Ars Electronica Center

Inspired by our rapidly changing climate, Climate Countdown takes the viewer through a dynamic audiovisual experience of extreme weather events. It shows an accelerated process of climate change and the resulting weather extremes.

From harmless scenes of rain, heat, sun and cloudy days – to extreme images showing climate catastrophe. The climate clock is then displayed to show how much time is left before the effects of climate change are irreversible. Climate Countdown is intended to reinforce the message of the Climate Clock project by activists Gan Golan, Andrew Boyd, artist Katie Payton Hofstadter and Adrian Carpenter.
