Through life on two wheels: Short films in cooperation with MTB-Linz and Bike Visions 2024 offer exciting insights into the cycling scene with all its many facets. The new film series focuses on the diversity of cycling culture. Since 2020, hello yellow by Schachermayer has been committed to getting people excited about sport and exercise. From documentaries to feature films, from comedies to tragedies in cooperation with Moviemento, it covers a wide range of topics relating to life with and on a bike.

Joint Mountain Bike Ride-Out and Get-Together

15:00 Meeting Point: Maindeck Ars Electronica Center
Participation free of charge, no registration required

MTB-Linz invites you to a community ride out on the Pfenningberg. On Friday, October 18 at 3:00 p.m., we’ll cycle comfortably from the main deck of the Ars Electronica Center towards Pfenningberg. While pedaling uphill, you can chat with Dominik Raab and the Shape Crew from MTB-Linz before heading back towards the steel city via the Salamander Trail and the Hornissen Trail. We end the day with a get-together with Linz beer and beats from Wet Spinach (Heavy-Rock / Punk) and ZAK! (Proto Punk / Linzer School).

Note for all bike enthusiasts who can’t make it to the ride-out on this day: You are still welcome to the get-together incl. BMX contest from 6pm in the last by Schachermayer with free admission!

hello yellow Velodrom – Introductory Course

As part of Bike Visions, Schachermayer is offering a free course at the hello yellow velodrome – a unique opportunity to try out track cycling. Participants should already have a certain affinity for athletic cycling. The number of participants is limited to 10 people. Riding is exclusively on track bikes, which are provided.
The introduction will only take place in dry track conditions. If riding is not possible due to the external conditions, the trainees will be informed in good time by the trainers of the Velodrom Linz club and offered a guided tour of the hello yellow Arena as an alternative.

Minimum age: 12 years, up to 16 years only when accompanied by an adult
What to bring: Clipless pedals and suitable cycling shoes, helmet, cycling clothing, cycling gloves, water bottle

Pump Track Kids Training with MTB Kids ACADEMY on Pump Track Schachermayer

Who wouldn’t dream of an afternoon on the Schachermayer pump track? Playfully practicing how to handle your bike while improving your coordination, strength, technique and fitness. The focus is on having fun doing what you do and becoming one with your mountain bike. With power and motivation in your luggage, the afternoon on the pump track will fly by. Rental bikes and helmets are available on site.

Riding Technique Training with Julian Bauer

13:00 – 15:00 Meeting point: dirtpark Plesching, bmx track, 4040 Steyregg

Julian has been training the Next Generation Racing Team’s young riders in terms of riding technique since 2021 and prepares the athletes for mountain bike cross country and cyclo-cross races. “Excellent riding technique is the most important building block for any racer,” says Julian.
As part of Bike Visions, you have the opportunity to work on your riding technique with Julian for 2 hours. Skill level: You should already be familiar with your mountain bike and be able to tackle easy trails.

Note: All participants can take part in the joint mountain bike ride-out after training with Julian. The ride-out starts at 15:00 at the Ars Electronica Center and will make a stopover at the BMX track at Pleschingersee to pick up Julian and all motivated bikers for the ride up the Pfenningberg.


BMX Cash-for-Tricks Contest with the Stars of the Austrian BMX Scene

18:00 – 21:00 last by Schachermayer

Last by Schachermayer with its newly built bowl and outdoor street area is the venue for the only local BMX contest. The best BMX bikers in the country will compete against each other in a cash-for-tricks format for prize money of € 2000. Following the BMX contest, the bike community will be invited to a get-together including a concert from 21:00. The line-up will follow shortly.
