How did the students experience the Festival University? What should learning and teaching look like at a “university of the future”? What skills and tools do young people need to effectively meet the challenges of our time?

Students of the Festival University will present their own ideas and visions on these questions during this press conference. You can expect an authentic, international and non-political view of the “university of the future”.

Festival University is an international hybrid summer university initiated by Johannes Kepler University Linz and Ars Electronica that will be held for the first time on the JKU campus and online until September 17. Its ambitious program transcends disciplinary boundaries and unites new technologies, science and art with the major social issues of our time. It is thus a prototype of a “university of the future” and a harbinger of the new Technical University in Upper Austria. Above all, however, the Festival University is an important platform for the ideas and visions of young people – which absolutely must flow into the design and development of a new university.
