Jan Trionow, completed his studies of electrical engineering/telecommunications at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany, in 1997. His professional career began in 1996 at Philips UK and spanned several positions at Mannesmann Eurokom GmbH and Vodafone Europe Ltd., among others, until he joined Hutchison Drei Austria as Director of Core Network in 2001, where he helped build the company as the leading mobile telecommunication service provider in Austria. This was followed by various management positions within the company with a focus on network rollout before Jan Trionow was promoted to CTO in 2004 and became CEO of Hutchison Drei Austria in 2010.

With the acquisition of Orange Austria in 2012, Hutchison Drei Austria entered the next phase of the company and finally established itself as a full-service mobile operator on the Austrian market. With the takeover of Tele2 Austria in 2017, Drei then became the leading alternative telecom provider in Austria.

Jan Trionow was born in Bergen on RĂ¼gen in 1970 and lives with his family in Vienna.
