Deep Space 8K

In this simulation game for approx. 20 people, the visitors have to cooperate with each other and develop a common strategy in order to continue to live and stay healthy in an infectious world.
Active participation is a precondition for the success of the game, in which at the beginning each player receives her or his life energy, which decreases over time and therefore has to be recharged with energy sources again and again. These energy sources are symbolic of places to come together that we need in order to recharge our physical, mental and emotional life energy: a food store, cinema, theatre, football stadium, bar, pharmacy, etc.
But we are always faced with infectious people who can infect us with bacteria, viruses, bad thoughts and negative emotions and make us sick. We should avoid meeting people like that, but it doesn’t always work.
In this simulation game all together should find the right balance of closeness and distance, so that as many as possible stay healthy, do not fall ill and possibly even die.

Visiting the Deep Space presentations is only possible with a pre-booked ticket. Tickets are available at the Ars Electronica Center’s infodesk and can only be booked for the respective time slot of the museum visit ticket.
