Markus Oberndorfer’s multimedia-project REVISITED started in 2015 with a desire to question the medial parameters of 360 degree video. The artist draws attention to the fundamental shifts that took place between 360 degree video and the two main media of our time — photography and film.
By creating an interactive installation, having the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles as a venue, he allows us to experience these differences first hand. Under the terms “Source Footage Collage“ and “Collage in the Age of Automation”, Oberndorfer furthermore examines temporal, spatial, contextual, performative and process-oriented qualities.
