When the world was still new – realtime Dvořák remix
AGF (DE/FI)
AGF converts her poetry into electronic music, pop songs, calligraphy and digital media and has presented them as live performances and sound installations in museums, auditoria, streets, theatres, concert halls and clubs throughout Europe, North America and Asia at numerous festivals. For the “Episode am Fluss” event of this year's Ars Electronica Festival, AGF will remix a live signal from the Brucknerhaus – where the Bruckner Orchestra will perform Dvořák's “From the New World” Symphony – in real time.

Spectacular Resonance
CCW, University of the Arts London
MA Fine Art Digital is a course that asks questions about what art is in a digital environment. Rather than focusing on specific technology, it allows students from incredibly diverse backgrounds to engage with significant issues through their art. BA Print & Time Based Media is a course that combines the traditional with the contemporary, bringing together print-making, photography, film, audio, writing, video and performance art. This exhibition is co-curated by artists and Program Directors Jonathan Kearney and Lois Rowe from UAL and will showcase work from areas they oversee.

The SINE WAVE ORCHESTRA stay
Ken Furudate (JP), Daisuke Ishida (JP), Kazuhiro Jo (JP), Zuiki Noguchi (JP) / The SINE WAVE ORCHESTRA (JP)
The SINE WAVE ORCHESTRA has chosen to dedicate their work to the sine wave, said to be the most basic sound and therefore called pure tone, containing neither overtone nor noise but a single frequency. This work is defined by the interplay of visitors: Each spectator is given a small device which can play a sine wave and asked to choose its frequency and position on one of the columns of copper wire in the attic.

Emergence
Universal Everything (GB)
Emergence is an open-world environment and crowd performance. The virtual reality installation expresses the primal human desire to maintain individual identity while being part of a crowd. As the user navigates a crowd of thousands, shafts of light beckon them closer. As they touch the light, the environment responds in real time, continually challenging the user's perception. In this installation, Universal Everything experiments with software-based improvisation and custom-coded crowd simulations.

NOISA
Koray Tahiroglu (FI/TR)
NOISA, the Network of Intelligent Sonic Agents, is an interactive music system that monitors the performer’s actions and provides autonomous and non-intrusive counteractions. In this co-creative music performance, intelligent sonic agents are designed to support the music performance by providing responses that encourage and maintain the communication and motivation of the performer with the NOISA system.

Dagmar Dachauer (AT), Kilian Immervoll (AT)
Online cat content and robopets represent a deeply human yearning. Choreographer Dagmar Dachauer, together with video artist Kilian Immervoll, initiates a humorous and bewildering interaction between the ancient pet, human and robot through a hyper-detailed movement language.

TechiEon

Reeps One x Dadabots ft. Second Self AI
Reeps One (UK)
Second Self is an art and science collaboration between Reeps One, Dada Bots and the E.A.T. program at Nokia Bell Labs. The collaboration is a live performance piece designed to integrate machine learning, the human voice, and generative audio as a practical artistic tool and to raise awareness about machine learning beyond the academic, technological and engineering demographics via the medium of film and performance.

Inter Faces
Régis Costa de Oliveira (BR)
The Inter Faces performance uses augmented reality to replace the performer's body – including self-portraits – with digital images framed on a screen. The performers will act in a space that fuses the real with the digital. Their actions will likewise occur by crossing in between these two worlds, exploring simulacra and making it evident it from digital contents that seemingly appeal to us, even as it also makes clear how such temptations can exert a narcoticizing, hallucinogenic effect on us.
