Dysmorphic Reflections is a composition of bodies born of a machine learning algorithm trained on the artist’s own flesh. By training and producing these unpredictable bodies, the artist reflects on feelings of control and agency over their own physicality.

Reid Arowood fuses elements of performance, sculpture and new media to create multi-sensory experiences that push the boundaries of the hybrid body and queer identity. They received their BFA from the University of Tennessee and is completing their MFA in Art and Technology Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
