The project focused on developing a concept for changes and improvements to the Ars Electronica Online Archive. Discussions were held, needs were raised and usage data from the last two years was evaluated. The first small changes, such as a search across all archive content and an adjustment to the timeline, have already been made. All further results and findings will be incorporated into the “Archive Relaunch Project“, which has been running since May 2023.
The content of the group of home delivery videos that were created between 2020 and 2022 as part of the Ars Electronica Center’s increased online presence has also been processed and secured. A representative selection of these were archived and indexed and will be made available online once the “Archive Relaunch Project” is complete.
The “Ars Electronica Online Archive Upgrade” project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport.
