Seit Beginn des Prix Ars Electronica, seit 1987, zählen Computeranimationen zu den wesentlichen Elementen unseres jährlich weltweit ausgeschriebenen Medienkunst-Wettbewerbs. Die von einer Fachjury aus tausenden Einreichungen ausgewählten und prämierten Werke begeistern nicht nur die Besucher*innen des renommierten Ars Electronica Festival immer wieder aufs Neue. Mit dem „Ars Electronica Animation Festival on Tour“ präsentieren wir gemeinsam mit den teilnehmenden Künstler*innen und in Zusammenarbeit mit dem österreichischen Bundesministerium für Europäische und internationale Angelegenheiten eine Auslese der besten Animationen für Bildungseinrichtungen, Filmfestivals und kulturelle Organisationen.
