A networking event connecting professionals from the culture and creative sectors with SMEs from the plastic industry. An interconnected part of the Label4Future Interregional project.
Participating organizations from the Label4future project will take part in a matchmaking session with professionals from the culture and creative sectors, including designers and new media artists.
The program features presentations, where SMEs will showcase their best practices, present challenges, circular models and future project outcomes.
From the side of the creative professionals, you will have the opportunity to see artworks presented in the exhibition space in POSTCITY. There will also be presentations with a specific focus on imagining the future scenarios for the plastic sector and fostering initiatives on innovations, sustainability and the green transition.
The matchmaking session aims to establish partnerships that will enrich the participating organizations throughout their involvement in the Label4Future program.

Alen Sapek is the founder of the company AddiFlex with a Master’s degree focused in Metallurgy and Materials from Faculty of natural science and engineering, and finishing a PhD in the field of Materials Science. He is an additive manufacturing enthusiast with great sympathy for the development of new technologies and products. He is also owner of company Additio, which is one of largest additive manufacturing material and printer distributors and 3D printing service providers in region.

Anka Letycja Walicka is an artist, designer, and chemist with 14 years of experience in sustainable, innovative design, specializing in footwear, fashion and conceptual design. She continuously seeks new solutions that allow her to transcend the boundaries of traditional design, creating sustainable and timeless projects. Merging artistic vision with environmental care ensures that her designs have a positive impact on the world and future generations.

Anna Schaeffner

Anna Schaeffner (FR) ist Interaktionsdesignerin und forscht im Rahmen einer praxisorientierten Promotion an der École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris und im Exzellenzcluster „Matters of Activity“ in Berlin im Bereich der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion. Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt auf dem Design formbarer Materialien. In ihrer Designpraxis untersucht sie greifbare Interaktion als Vehikel für Bewegungsprogrammierung, dynamische Materialanpassung und Ausdruckskraft.

Carolin Liebl and Nikolas Schmid-Pfählers generate strange plastic sculptures in collaboration with quirky robots. With these and other sculptural and installation works, the duo explores the interweaving of natural and artificial, human and non-human, material and ideology. They are both graduates of the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach, where they founded the interdisciplinary art space Atelier Wäscherei in 2019. Their monograph hello world was published in 2022 (Distanz Verlag Berlin).

Carolina Espinoza is an industrial designer who is passionate about sustainable design, open-source hardware and material research. Her journey began with transforming plastic waste into valuable products while supporting a global community. She later specialized in machine design, building and training, always focused on creating impactful solutions. As a former Precious Plastic designer and project manager, Espinoza now channels her experience into Mad Plastic, which delivers accessible recycling solutions and turnkey projects worldwide.

Dagmar Zvonickova Fredholm
Dagmar Zvonickova Fredholm is a co-founder and a director of a multidisciplinary design studio called Identity Designers, established in 2017 in London, which focuses on the relationship between the places we inhabit and our identities. The human experience is the key driver behind all their work, which covers projects of many different scales and sectors and can be found all around the world. In 2022 Dagmar and her business partner Ivana together also launched Novavita Design, a sister company to Identity Designers, which focuses on sustainable material research and development. All the materials produced by the Novavita Lab are made predominately of recycled ingredients and waste.

His original studies in architecture have a lasting impact on his art practice, embedding queries of material and spatial perception deep into his work. Often involving collaboration with scientists, industry and community groups, his projects explore our evolving relationship with the material world within the information age.

Gijs Schalkx ist ein niederländischer Künstler und Designer. Seine Arbeit zelebriert das Potenzial des Selbermachens und die damit einhergehende individuelle Handlungsfähigkeit. Er hinterfragt unsere Abhängigkeit von der Infrastruktur, die unser tägliches Leben prägt, und vermittelt uns durch Low-Tech-Interventionen ein unmittelbareres Verständnis für das Gleichgewicht zwischen Wunsch, Aufwand, Belohnung und Wirkung.

Govert Flint
NL
Govert Flint studied Architecture at TU Delft (2011, BSc), worked in Shanghai as junior architect and did his master at Design Academy Eindhoven (2014). He graduated with the Bionic Chair, an exo skeleton chair to control the computer with through body movements. In 2015 he founded his design studio Enrichers which is specialized in applying environmental enrichment into daily life. Enrichers has an active furniture collection and does project for European Commission, Heineken, Schiphol Airport and Dutch Railways.

Lara Campos
ES
Material designer, researcher and educator driven by curiosity, processes and exploration. Her practice digs through diverse narratives within materials, technologies and living beings while proposing ontologies based on eco-centric approaches and multispecies ideologies. Campos’ practice nurtures through site-specific material research, material R&D, mentoring and collaborating. Her research focuses on emotional response while proposing the exploration of hybrid habitable spaces and the experimentation of new material worlds, as sensorial and interactive experiences in order to ideate better solutions for coexistence.
To support and expand her exploratory nature, Campos works as an educator in diverse universities in Barcelona, and facilitates talks, workshops and seminars internationally. She is also part of several transdisciplinary collectives, where she works on growing materials, local resources foraging, circular & social economies, food waste design, sustainability, co-creation systems and horizontal management.

Miha Turšič

Miha Turšič is an artist, art-science-technology researcher and Space Lab lead at Waag Futurelab. He works on international and transdisciplinary collaborations and the initiation of projects touching on the themes of biotechnology, material research, digital fabrication, open-source hardware, ecology and outer space. He is involved in S+T+ARTS from its beginnings, mainly focusing on collaboration methodologies, its excellence and innovation pathways.

Das von Javier Masa geleitete Designstudio NMASA Design mit Sitz in Malmö, Schweden, konzentriert sich auf die Schaffung von Produkten und Erlebnissen mit Mehrwert, die Umsetzung von Handwerk 2.0 und die Suche nach Lösungen für die Herausforderungen der Nachhaltigkeit in der Industrie. Das Studio arbeitet mit Unternehmen und Organisationen aus verschiedenen Bereichen zusammen, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf der Herstellung von Möbeln und anderen Alltagsgegenständen liegt.
