Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms of the disease usually occur in episodes and are caused by damage to the nervous system owing to an autoimmune reaction.     Sebastian Sieghartsleitner is a PhD student at the company g.tec medical engineering GmbH, which produces invasive and non-invasive brain-computer interfaces and neurotechnologies. He studied medical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and both his bachelor’s and master’s thesis focused on brain-computer interfaces for neurorehabilitation. His expertise lies in signal processing and machine learning.
