Ars Electronica connects: In 2024, the Festival is focused on the protagonists of positive development. Our extensive network of partners consists of these protagonists, who make us hopeful for better futures: academic institutions, public bodies, cultural organizations, and creative industries as well as the private sector, from sustainable industries to innovative technologies, come together at the Ars Electronica Festival.

In our Town Hall meetings, we want to give them a chance to connect with each other, but especially aim to enable new faces to join our community of forward-looking people and institutions. Focused on a variety of topics and open to anyone interested, these get-togethers give the opportunity of expanding professional networks and building new connections.

Participation is free of charge and open to anyone. Please register below, as space is limited!

Sustainability Practices for Cultural Organisations

At a time of unprecedented environmental challenges, cultural institutions have a responsibility to lead by example in adopting sustainable practices. Many cultural professionals are eager to do their part to mitigate the climate crisis, but where do we begin? This event brings together representatives from festivals, museums and other cultural institutions to explore practical strategies for mobility, waste reduction, sustainable materials and community engagement. We will discuss instruments and methods to align working processes with the goals of environmental sustainability. We invite professionals and representatives from cultural organizations to share ideas, identify urgent issues and take action for a sustainable future.
