Wastescapes is a workshop about the beauty of waste plastic. We have been “toasting” waste plastic in plates from which we make furniture and other objects, but are very interested in different applications of waste plastic. Participants will be presented with waste plastic that they will cut into shapes and “toast” into pictures. All the pictures will be then “toasted” together into a collaborative “Wastescape”.

We have been developing the project Toasted furniture (www.toasted.si) for the last 10 years mainly focusing on process development and object design. Lately we have endeavored to look at our process as broadly as possible and are also developing workshops and different types of processes connected with waste plastic. Toastescapes will be presented for the first time at Ars Electronica.
