The Science+Technology+Arts = STARTS Initiative is a program of the European Commission that encourages synergies between the arts and technology that support the innovation industry and society. STARTS promotes the inclusion of artists in research and innovation activities throughout Europe. Enter the world of The Zizi Show (2020), a Deepfake drag cabaret, an online virtual stage featuring a groundbreaking new show with a difference. It features acts constructed using deepfake technology that learn how to do drag by watching a group of human performers.

Following the Journey "How to strand Astronouts on the Moon?", Halsey Burgundy and Francesca Panetta will expand on their work, perspectives, and visions with chat participants. One of the central questions of their Journey is how digital narratives that incorporate content created using AI models into their stories can play with our perceptions of what is real and what is fake, revealing the potentials and pitfalls of technology.

The Journey “Molten Airs” gives the online visitors an impression of the garden Vilnius. In its three-part speculative workshop series, each created by a different artist, garden Vilnius speculates on the human relationship to plants, food, and energy. By using methods borrowed from the sciences, the series delves into unknown interactions between small and large, real and fictional, alive and not alive, us and them. The audience is invited to contribute to the workshops with their stories, images and sounds.
