FORMS, FIGURES, LANGUAGES

A space that seeks to reach out to visitors and engage in a remote asynchronous form, offering a series of educational exercises to awaken our curiosity, connect with our bodily perception, our environment and emotions, fostering wonder about small everyday things and a deeper connection with the non-human. Each video comes with complementary experimental pedagogical material including references, playlists, readings and further instructions. In whichever space they choose, each visitor will enter these videos at their own pace. Some videos can be engaged with individually and others collectively. Upon entering, visitors will be faced with three pre-recorded tutorials created from a performance-type language based on the experimental educational methodology of Fundación Mar Adentro: (1) La naturaleza en mi cuerpo / Nature Within Body, led by Amparo Irarrázaval (CL), Fundación Mar Adentro’s Head of Education, an exploration of movement in nature through hand movements and negative space; (2) Dibujar la respiración / Drawing our Breath: led by María Jesús Olivos (CL), Fundación Mar Adentro’s Community Outreach Coordinator, an invitation to connect with the nature that inhabits us through drawing and re-perceiving our body as a living being; and (3) Los elementos en movimiento / The Elements in Motion, led by Colectivo Antagonismo (Mary Carmen Jaramillo, Alejandra Fuente, Verónica Cruz and María Jesús Olivos – CL), to explore the personal sensory experience that arises when interacting with air, water, fire and earth, by paying attention to the qualities and different states of the elements through listening and fluid body movement.
