Thoughts on the tourism of tomorrow

Traveling around in the past is often associated with stress – “ticking off” everything worth seeing “ticking off” everything worth seeing and capturing it with the camera. In the process, it is often forgotten to consciously environment and one’s own well-being. The pandemic has given us a respite from this frenzy. In this silence many have begun to feel their own inner selves again for the first time in a long time.

In her project, Sophie Dögl asks herself whether we are capable of consciously listening to ourselves and our bodies again. Whether we are able to return to the roots, to the natural and the the natural and the original, or whether the tourism of tomorrow will simply become a journey into illusion.
