Studiotopia Collective Event

In this session, the artist-scientist residency duos working jointly in the context of the Studiotopia project share their projects and give insights into the manifold modes of art-science collaboration. The session is designed as an interactive World Café, inviting audiences to participate and engage with the Studiotopia residents.

Justyna Górowska is an artist in residency with Centre for Contemporary Art Laznia, focusing on DNA digital data storage, sustainability, and data preservation.
Cezar Mocan and Hung Lu Chan are artists in residency with Beta festival.
Dmitry Morozov is an artist in residency with Kersnikova, focusing on contemporary media art including sound, robotics, and installations.
Sybille Neumeyer is an artist in residency with Kersnikova, focusing on environmental issues, climate crisis, and ecological relationships.
John Palmesino is an artist in residency with Ars Electronica, focusing on the Anthropocene.
Masha Patsyuk is an artist in residency with Hexagone Scène Nationale, focusing on film, digital arts, and performance.
Lea Luka Sikau and Denisa Pubalova are artists in residency with LABoral, focusing on multisensory installations, vibroacoustics, and media art.
Karolina Sobecka is an artist in residency with Centre for Contemporary Art Laznia, focusing on heat, healing, resistance, and energy flows.
Fanny Soriano is an artist in residency with Hexagone Scène Nationale, focusing on body, animality, and metamorphosis.
Miguel Teodoro is an artist in residency with CYENS Centre of Excellence, focusing on materiality, geopolitics, and ecology.
Laure Winants and Adrien de Lucca are artists in residency with GLUON.
Alexander Damianos is a scientist in residency with Ars Electronica, focusing on the Anthropocene.
Marina Dermastia is a scientist in residency with Kersnikova, focusing on cell biology and botany.
Cailean Finn is a scientist in residency with Beta festival.
Kalliopi Ioumpa is a scientist in residency with Hexagone Scène Nationale, focusing on social cognitive neuroscience, molecular biology, and experimental psychology. 
Ziggy O’Riley is a scientist in residency with Kersnikova, focusing on human-robot interaction, moral and social cognition, and ethics of emerging technologies.
Michał Piasecki and Agnieszka Szostok are scientists in residency with Centre for Contemporary Art Laznia, focusing on heat, healing, resistance, and energy flows.
Colas Schretter and Louise Delhaye are scientists in residency with GLUON.

    Vanessa Hannesschläger

    Vanessa Hannesschläger ist Head of European Collaboration bei Ars Electronica. Sie hat an der Universität Wien in Germanistik promoviert und unterrichtet Digital Humanities in Österreich und Schweden. Sie hat neben digitalen Europäischen Forschungsinfrastrukturen zahlreiche Projekte rund um physische und digitale Archive für Kulturerbe und Kunst entwickelt. Im Europäischen Kontext setzt sie sich für digitale Infrastruktur für Kunst und Geisteswissenschaften ebenso ein wie für Daten- und Rechtsbewusstsein, kulturelles Gemeingut und Offene Zugänge.
