Organizing defenses, collectively
It is often claimed that the law is lagging behind, allowing deplorable phenomena to spread (The law is too slow, Bellows). Absolutely true. Thirty years of “move fast and break things” (Company motto, Zuckerberg) have created powerful conglomerates whose expansion and ruthlessness seem to have no limits. The trend, however, can be stopped. Well organized collectives can carry on battles of all kinds with diligence and perseverance. During the discussion, Stefano Rossetti (Data Protection Lawyer at noyb) will talk about some recent noyb’s cases on surveillance, data brokers, algorithms and artificial intelligence.
