knowledge and consent is an interactive project designed for the Deep Space and focuses on the collection of personal user data on the Internet.
“if there is no price, you are the product.”
As soon as a visitor steps into Deep Space, the program collects and tracks their steps in the room, movement activity and other collectible data and displays it on the wall for all to see. In addition, the movements of the visitors are tracked by the eyes on the ground to give that eerie feeling of being watched. In the background, visitors hear the program’s “privacy policy statement”: A compilation of passages from privacy policy statements/terms and conditions as found in social media corporations.
Please Note: Limited capacity – in addition to a valid ticket, you need a (free) ticket reservation for the respective event in advance. Reservations for Deep Space 8K events must be scanned on-site no later than 15min before the programme starts.
