Biografie

Hideaki Ogawa (JP/AT) ist ein kreativer Katalysator, Künstler, Pädagoge, Kurator und Forscher auf den Gebieten der Kunst, Technologie und Gesellschaft. Er ist derzeit Co-Director des Ars Electronica Futurelab und Director von Ars Electronica Japan.

Sein spezieller Forschungsschwerpunkt ist Art Thinking, zudem hat er zahlreiche Innovationsprojekte in den Bereichen Kunst und Wissenschaft, Kunst und Industrie sowie Kunst und Gesellschaft durchgeführt. Neben der künstlerischen Innovationsforschung hat er internationale Projekte für Festivals, Exportprogramme wie Ars Electronica in the Knowledge Capital, School of the Future mit Tokyo Midtown und das Ars Electronica Center in Linz realisiert.

Hideaki Ogawa ist darüber hinaus Teil und künstlerischer Leiter der Medienkünstlergruppe h.o. Er sucht nach witzigen neuen Ideen als Antwort auf den aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Kontext und schafft künstlerische Ausdrucksformen, die mit der Geschwindigkeit des technologischen Fortschritts Schritt halten.
