IMPAKT Workshop: Face and body filters

This second workshop is about VJ-ing and focuses on the creation of video backgrounds and other video effects to use in your performance. With the use of software like Zoom, OBS and Snap Camera, we can create our own virtual backgrounds, digital masks, video compilations and even perform live coding and VJ sets. IMPAKT [Centre for Media Culture], in collaboration with Ars Electronica and the European Media Art Platform (EMAP), organizes two workshops where you can familiarize yourself with these new tools and platforms and start using them to build your own online performance sets.

Our relationship to artificially intelligent technologies is largely framed by popular media, news reporting, or major scientists’ claims. These frames restrict such systems to notions of control and utility, all the while keeping the black-box of these technologies intact, and thus furthering an elite-expert hegemonia that had been defining how to think of AI since the last half of the previous century.

The Woodiana Oracle: Diviners Wanted! is a diviner recruitment event and a futuring exercise in the form of a fortune telling workshop; a live online divination event where everybody gets a chance to become a mussel path analyst and interpret her behaviour!
