Climate change, migration, and digital transformation. We all face major challenges – and there are no simple solutions to the world’s big problems. Technological progress in our society must therefore be entirely in the interest of the planet and humanity.
Alchemist of the Future, the final episode in a nine-part video series created as part of the lab’s 25th anniversary this year, therefor marks the kickoff of Morning Inspirations on Futurelab Day.
Afterwards, Horst Hörtner will show why only creative systems can successfully meet the challenges of the present, with his experiences and memories as a future alchemist, co-founder, and Managing Director of the Ars Electronica Futurelab for 25 years. Together with several other selected experts, future activists, researchers, young innovators, and partners of the lab, we will discuss the important questions of the present and the future, our possibilities, and tangible ways to act in Deep Issue Talks and an Open Discussion.
