DIY chemical and digital water analytics – researching effect of the invisible anthropogenic molecular pollutants in the waters and emerging methodologies of remediation
The workshop brings the invisible world of contemporary microscale and nanoscale/molecular water pollutants – the smallest but potent residues of human activity; unsustainable consumerism, urbanization, and exploitation of the world waters and life within.
How can experimental science and art be used for researching and remediating this problem using digital and bio technologies – we invite you to join and find out.
After sampling of water and alluvial soil of Donau river, experimental analysis using DIY chemical and digital technologies will follow in the search for micro & nanopollutants.
Participants will also be acquainted with experimental engineering of a bioelectronic system – Microbial fuel cell – emerging (bio)technology that can be used inwater sensing, pollution monitoring, filtration, and even electric power generation.
