    Historische Krippe als VR-Erlebnis

    Mehr als hundert Jahre nach ihrer ersten Ausstellung wurde die Weihnachtskrippe des Mariendoms sorgfältig restauriert. Ein Team des Ars Electronica Futurelab scannte anschließend die Figuren und Landschaften mittels Photogrammetrie, um ein audiovisuelles VR-Erlebnis in stereoskopischem 3D mit 360-Grad-Perspektive zu schaffen.

    Um eines der Schaunberger Grabmäler aus der Stiftskirche von Wilhering behutsam in ein virtuelles Objekt zu überführen, kam das berührungslose Verfahren der Photogrammetrie zum Einsatz. Das Grabmal wurde so im Deep Space 8K zum immersiven 3D-Kulturerlebnis.
