VoV Workshop: Making Art from the Brain to the Blockchain
Participating “Brain Workers” are invited to create their VoV token by shaping values through neurodesign in the Brain Factory. VoVs are immaterial assets, as well as brain-designed 3D models. Brain Workers propose reifications of the abstract models as artworks. This is how they start to make sense out of a frozen value.
Collective Curated Exhibtions I: On the Road, Young Media Artists in China
A collaborative project between SCm/CityU HK and Guan Shang Yue Museum of Art, Shenzhen, presenting 50 installations by 35 artists; which involved 15 curators, art critics and scholars from China and Hong Kong. It provided an overview of the media art scene across China today, and demonstrated how young Chinese artists are exploring and combining both older and ‘newer’ media to new ends.

It resonates with how we will define human goals in a post-pandemic world.

DïaloG is an urban media art installation developed by Maurice Benayoun (MoBen/CityU HK) and Refik Anadol (AnalogNative). In the public space (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain) two “living” entities face each other. They don’t look like the living beings we know. They don’t speak any language we know. They are aliens, strangers, immigrants. Facing each other they gradually mutate. They seem to react to their environment. Even more, they clearly desperately try to understand each other.

“Stargazer” is a hybrid deeply participatory installation, which consists of two complementary and connected parts: a globally accessible mysterious virtual reality world in Mozilla Hubs and a spherical projection site in Barcelona. It encourages attendees into spatial exploration and deep engagement, to traverse a border between a virtual and physical world and connect with someone on the other side: Ars Electronica visitors from around the world can meet and interact with local people in Barcelona by visiting the space in Mozilla Hubs and interacting with its elements, and vice versa, Barcelona locals can interact with an international audience by visiting the dome projection site and engaging with its elements.

Hacking Numeric Keyboards Workshop on how to hack a keyboard and turn it into a step sequencer or any other conceivable controller for synthesizers. We may undertake this transformation in such a way that no screen is required, creating a direct link between keyboard and sound operation, strongly relying on the musician's hearing and memory. The focus will be placed on the conception of musical interfaces and their implementation in different hardware.

Web Gardening is a workshop hosted by gardeners in the Third Garden. It creates web gardens where participants can experiment with images, sound, and games online based on the keywords visual, auditory, and interaction.
Seoul Garden Exhibition
Seoul Garden is an exhibition space built in Mozilla Hub, which a foreign artist acting as a reporter has constructed into a 3D gallery documenting her exploration of Seoul's urban garden.
Two Hands Performance
Two Hands is a combination of Korean traditional shamanism and contemporary media performance, raising the question of whether future technology can dominate the human mind and soul. Alluding to Roy Ascott's Technoetic Arts, which talks about the connection between technology and spiritual means, Two Hands focuses on the spiritual experience that will present a new possibility to expand the limits of technology.

Third Garden
Third Garden is an online art exhibition space where gardeners of the Third Life experiment with virtual explorers (AKA viewers) based on AR technology. Third Garden shows the research of interactive "play" with visitors that players (AKA artists) in the real world have been contemplating and studying in the web garden of the Third Life. Participating artists share the progress and result (artwork) of creation in the Third Garden.
