During the rise in wishing behavior seen around the world during the COVID19 pandemic, and the disconnect between wishing communities and religion that has arisen, more and more non-religious groups have joined religious groups in their wishing activities. The project aims to explore whether digital wishing can replace traditional wishing as a new model of wishing in the future as the digital consumer age develops.

Biography

Ziyue Chai is a creative visual artist based in London and Shanghai. She works in the fields of digital art and artistic scenography. At the same time, she is also a PR working for her own independent designer brand and has curated cases that have been published in prestigious magazines such as HYPEBEAST.
She holds a degree in Graphic Design from the Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. She is currently studying for a master’s degree in Interaction Design at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.
