New videos of early experiments in performance media by two artists using invented tools, ambient sound recordings, text, electronic music and photography. The resulting montages for the eye and ear evoke both humorous and psychological spaces in the mind! Dare to Watch.

Artist Carol Law‘s work spans several visual disciplines and multi-media performance. She has exhibited internationally at galleries and museums, receiving two USA NEA Inter-Art grants. Teaching at several universities including the San Francisco Art Institute and in “Generative Systems” at the Chicago Art Institute she introduced new printmaking methods using business technologies. Residency awards include the Rockefeller Foundation in Italy and the Morris Graves Foundation in California.  Collaborating with composer Amirkhanian (1974-1988), she created 18 short sound/visual performance art works presented at numerous venues such as the Sydney Biennale, The Kitchen NYC, the Exploratorium and the Stedelijk Museum.

Composer, sound poet & radio producer Charles Amirkhanian is a leading practitioner of electroacoustic music and text-sound composition. He is widely known for his live and taped works utilizing speech elements in rhythmic patterns resembling percussion music. His later music incorporates ambient sounds modified with digital sampling, for which he was commissioned by WDR Köln to create such hörspiel works as Im Frühling and Metropolis San Francisco. His music is published by New World and Other Minds Records.
