Basierend auf dem diesjährigen Thema des Ars Electronica Festivals interpretiert die Performerin und Choreografin Silke Grabinger das Konzept von Utopie und Dystopie durch eine performative Installation des Sujets. The Sound of Music dient als Grundlage für die performative Adaption, die ursprünglichen Schrittfolgen werden in den Fokus gerückt, einer wiederholenden Bewegungstransformation unterzogen und in die Gegenwart transportiert. — Interpretiert mit einem urbanen und zeitgenössischen Ansatz.

Biography
In her work Silke Grabinger connects urban and contemporary dance with performative and fine arts. Thereby she deals critically with social phenomenona, artistic paradigms and the role of the audience. In 1997 she got in touch with breakdance and achieved success at international contests solo as “b-girl SILK”. She promotes breakdance and hip hop culture with the projects “Elements of Style” and “B-Girl Circle” which she founded in 2004 and 2010 and parallel to SILK Cie. she founded her second dance company SILK Fluegge in order to develop dance and performance pieces for young audience.
With projects like “Underbody” and “Berlioz Project” she started to combine dance, arts and robotics and aims to deepen her work in this field.
