Taiwan is an island full of digital and humanistic literacy, a unique ecosystem where you can find all the players from technology manufacturers to content creators in one place. Through this Taiwan Special, Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) introduced Taiwanese-related artworks as an immersive collection.

By starting the content, you agree that data will be transmitted to www.youtube.com.Data Protection Declaration

Based on Project Percentage by FAB DAO (Formosa Art Bank DAO), three Taiwanese audiovisual artists, Lien-Cheng Wang, Aluan Wang, and Jin-Yao Lin, will have a 30 minutes long show at Deep Space. The performance uses Taiwan’s mountain ridges as materials to outline the mountains in the digital world.

Afterwards, two video artworks from Humanity Island — Data to be Continued presented by Virtual and Physical Media Integration Association of Taiwan are shown.

Inspired by an old tale of the sea, the story is based on the unique wonder in Matsu, the Blue Tears by Hsiao-Yue Tsao (TW), to tell a touching love story. To fulfill the promise of giving the heroine a good life, the naïve hero became greedy and died in a shipwreck, sacrificing his life for wealth. The appearance of the blue tears, symbolizing an alien species, implies the sadness of global warming. The love between the two main characters ends up making them fall into different pathways.

Sandbox by Chin-Hsiang Hu (TW), Tzu-Liang Chen (TW), Yu-Hao Lee (TW) originally represented a safe environment isolated by computers. The work uses a sandbox as a metaphor for people receiving information. Through real-time visual and intercepted network open data, the daily work of word processing becomes an artwork that is transformed into an immersive experience.
