Mozilla Hubs

With Mozilla Hubs, an open source project by Mozilla that allows anybody to create and design virtual rooms, we introduce another powerful tool to the online festival that investigates how communication in mixed reality can come to life. This year, more than 60 Mozilla Hubs with a multitude of content were created by Ars Electronica and its partner gardens worldwide, which you can visit from September 9 to 13, 2020. All you need is an up-to-date Internet browser on your computer or smartphone. If you activate your speakers and microphone, you can also hear and talk to other visitors. A pair of virtual reality glasses is not a must, but will intensify your experience by another level. A maximum of 25 visitors can stay in a virtual room – if this number is exceeded, another clone of the room opens for the next 25. Start right away in our departure hall or choose one of the Mozilla Hubs from our list…
