AMORE is an avant-garde production created to elevate the artistry of performing, conceptual, kinetic, digital, video, and abstract art. Paul Chiang’s paintings are the foundation from which 3D animation techniques catalyze the art to life. Through the combination of intense piano repertoires, multimedia technology, contemporary and abstract moving art, diverse styles are revealed to present a dramatic music-based performing art that is a banquet for the senses. Of all the emotions, the most seductive and touching is Love. Love is my muse and is the most inspirational and greatest charm of all time.

The exhibition ARTIFICIAL REALITY – VIRTUAL INTELLIGENCE showcases student projects that deal with these questions: By means of a Brain Computer Interface, the emotional state of the participant influences the perception of the virtual world.

ARrow is an Augmented Reality app that can be downloaded to your mobile phone. Not only can participants paint randomly in the virtual world, they can also connect with scenery and people in real life through the GPS and camera of their phone. We have eased the feeling of distance produced by the use of mobile devices in the fast-food generation. Participants, pick up your paintbrushes! Spread your sketches across the huge canvas no matter where you are. Spread it, bloom it! ARrow invites you to show your pictures in Hsinchu-Taipei garden.

An explosion of biohybrid technologies is bringing our bodies and brains online. What happens when we’re all connected? Groupthink gives a glimpse into a future where art emerges from the heart. Audiences anywhere can join via webcam. Software detects their pulse and translates it into a visual score performed live by sitarist Shama Rahman and percussionist Mick Grierson.

At JetBrains Techlab, we focus on adaptive human-robotic interaction and mobile robotics. An important element of such a system is human-robot interaction (HRI), which ensures that the robotic system is performing the task correctly and in a safe way, for itself and the environment, including humans. The presentation covers an introduction to HRI, how to make HRI safe, and how humans can benefit from such an interaction.

Hybrid exhibition “Algaphon”

Algaphon is a hybrid installation where algae bubbles that ring at minnaert frequency near algal filaments are rendered audible through a hydrophone. Online visitors can leave a voice message that is translated into photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) variations in a remote aquarium.

VR comes with a memorable immersive experience, making it possible to temporarily transcend the limitations of time and space, letting audiences experience freedom of movement and their desire to explore the world. Therefore, in “Immersive Tour,” as the first part of the “Formosa Grand Tour,” viewers can wander among the mountains, oceans, and rivers in the digital world, even outer space!

Garden PR and Garden Buenos Aires Program

This program opens with a welcome from our host institution, the UAGM Museum. Soon after, Joaquín Fargas’ performance will take place, effectively connecting Garden Buenos Aires with Garden Puerto Rico. The performance will attempt to showcase the Earth’s lifeforce as it relates to our human body, where information is dispersed in every cell, while also being interconnected as a whole – a sort of crypto body.

Around 2000, several interaction design programs were launched around the world. Along with London, New York and Ivrea, Zürich University of the Arts has launched its educational and research activities in this emerging field. We began with a motivation to humanize digital technologies and make them more inclusive and accessible. Two decades later, pressing environmental, social, and political challenges demand that we adapt and expand our focus to encompass worlds and interests other than only those of humans. We invite you to join us in reflecting on the critical and investigative role of interaction design in our society, today and over the past decades.

INTER/her is an intimate VR immersive exploration of the inner world of middle-aged women’s bodies and the post-reproductive diseases they suffer, such as endometriosis, fibroids, polyps, Ovarian and other cysts, cervical, ovarian, uterine and endometrial cancers – with a focus on female health as personal exploration, conversation starter, and community building.

Mozilla Hub of the Bad Ischl Garden – The Lehar Theater in Bad Ischl has changed and redefined its identity several times over the years. Beginning as a traditional stage theater, it was later upgraded and converted to a movie theater or cinema.

Katya Pravda’s art is viewer-oriented, it’s democratic. The parts this art is made of are a pleasure in themselves — flower petals, branches, stones, vegetables, mushrooms. But then vigorous intraframe editing jumps in the form of fake eyelash glue. The familiar is fading, giving way to the unknown.
